Our Tajweed course is crafted to help learners recite the Quran with clarity, rhythm, and authenticity , following the rules of proper pronunciation (Tajweed ) as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Whether you’re a beginner or refining advanced skills, this program blends traditional Islamic teachings with innovative technology to transform your Quranic journey.

Objectives of the Course

Preserve the Quran’s Authentic Pronunciation
  • Goal : Teach learners to recite the Quran exactly as revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), following the rules of Tajweed (Makharij al-Huruf, Sifaat, Idgham, Ikhfa , etc.).
Master Tajweed Rules

oal : Provide a step-by-step understanding of beginner to advanced Tajweed rules , including:

  • Madd (elongation) , Qalqalah (echo sound) , and Laam Shamsiyyah/Qamariyyah .
  • Application of rules to Surahs like Al-Fatiha, Al-Baqarah , and Amma Juz
Enhance Spiritual Connection with the Quran
  • Goal : Encourage mindful, rhythmic recitation that deepens emotional and spiritual engagement with the Quran.
Prepare for Quran Memorization (Hifz)
  • Goal : Equip learners with the Tajweed foundation needed for accurate memorization and long-term retention of the Quran.
Develop Confidence in Public Recitation
  • Goal : Train learners to recite the Quran fluently in front of others, whether in Salah, Taraweeh, or community gatherings.
Uphold Sharia-Compliant Standards
  • Goal : Ensure all teachings align with classical Islamic sources (Tuhfat al-Athqal, Al-Jazariyyah ) and scholarly consensus.

Course Structure

The course is divided into modules based on skill level:

Beginner Level (Foundations of Tajweed)

Module 1: Introduction to Tajweed
  • Definition, importance, and historical context of Tajweed.
  • The role of Tajweed in preserving the Quran’s meaning and beauty.
Module 2: Arabic Alphabet & Phonetics
  • Makharij al-Huruf (articulation points): Learn where each letter is produced in the mouth/throat.
  • Sifaat (characteristics of letters): Study attributes like Takhween (echo), Tafkhim (heaviness) , and Tarqeeq (lightness) .
Module 3: Basic Tajweed Rules
  • Madd (Elongation) : Rules for stretching vowels (Madd Asli, Madd Far’i ).
  • Noon Saakin & Tanween : Rules like Idhaar (clarity), Iqlaab (conversion) , and Ikhfa (concealment) .
  • Meem Saakin : Rules of Ikhfa Shafawi and Idgham Shafawi.
Module 4: Practical Recitation Practice
  • Apply rules to short Surahs (e.g., Al-Fatiha, Ikhlas, Falaq, Nas ).
  • Listening exercises with renowned Qaris (reciters) for reference.

Intermediate Level (Skill Development)

Module 5: Advanced Tajweed Rules
  • Idgham (Merging) : When letters blend (e.g., merging Noon into Meem with Ghunna ).
  • Qalqalah (Echo Sound) : Letters that produce a vibration (Ba, Jeem, Daal, Qaaf, Taa ).
  • Laam Shamsiyyah & Qamariyyah : Rules for pronouncing the definite article "Al-" based on the following letter.
Module 6: Application in Longer Surahs
  • Practice rules in Surahs like Al-Baqarah, An-Nisa , and Yaseen.
  • Focus on rhythm, pacing, and connecting verses smoothly.
Module 7: Listening & Imitation
  • Analyze recitations by scholars like Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy or Abdul Basit Mujahid .
  • Mimic tone, pauses, and flow for natural recitation.

Advanced Level (Mastery & Refinement)

Module 8: Complex Rules & Exceptions.
  • Waqs (Pausing Rules) : Proper stopping points to avoid altering meaning.
  • Hadr & Taddeer : Adjusting speed for clarity and reflection.
  • Tajweed in Rarely Used Letters (e.g., Hamzat al-Wasl, Lam Alif ).
Module 9: Full Quran Recitation
  • Apply Tajweed to the entire Quran with focus on consistency and fluency.
  • Practice Juz Amma (30th part) for daily recitation and Salah.
Module 10: Assessment & Feedback
  • Submit audio/video recordings for expert evaluation.
  • Receive personalized feedback on pronunciation, rhythm, and rule application.
